Overview of Burirdabri
Burirdabri Forest Camp, located in the Bashirhat Range of the Sundarbans Tiger Reserve, is one of the most remote and least-visited tourist spots. It features the Burirdabri Watch Tower, a unique mud walk, and a mangrove cage trail leading to the famous Raimongal View Point overlooking the Bangladesh Sundarbans. Opened in 2003, it is accessible mainly from the Dhamakhali and Sandeshkhali entry points.
Unique Experience
The approach to Burirdabri is unlike any other watchtower in Sundarbans. Visitors walk over wooden bridges, through a mud cage trail, and onto a wooden watchtower. Along the way, it’s common to spot pugmarks, crabs, snails, and other mangrove ground fauna. The route also carries an air of adventure — with narrow creeks, dense vegetation, and a wild, untouched charm.
